Who is Fredericksburg Parent?

Hello, there!  Fredericksburg Parent here, and we’re your local family resource for all things family.  Our magazine has been the leading, LOCAL expert on parenting for 25 years and we are operated by LOCAL Moms.  Our staff works to bring you relevant and LOCAL advice on parenting in print, online, and on social media.  We are 100 percent here for families and Fredericksburg businesses that support our families.  

What Does My Business Need to Do to Receive Fredericksburg Parent Family Favorite Votes?

Voting begins in early April and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30th.  One voting ballot can be submitted per email address.  You do not need to return to the website daily, just submit one voting ballot, per email address, for the duration of the contest.  There is a category for each of your favorite businesses.  Fredericksburg Parent recommends orchestrating a public relations campaign to generate community awareness of your business’s Family Favorites nomination.  You can easily do this by utilizing the free Family Favorites collateral.  You can print out your favorite sizes and create wall posters, front desk signs, posts for social media, and email blast content.  The sky is the limit!  If your business receives the highest number of votes in your category, YOU WIN.  Your business can be nominated or self-nominate.  If you have been nominated in the past two years, then the chances are good that you are already on the Family Favorites ballot.  Vote anytime up until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30th.  

When/How Do I Vote?

You can use the provided voting link or simply scan the QR code.  VOTE ONLY ONCE.  The average person spends between 2-5 minutes on the voting ballot, and we promise that it does not take very long to complete.  Over 5K people, alone, voted in 2023.  There are over 50 categories of Family Favorite businesses but you do not need to vote for every, single category.

Can my business remain in Fredericksburg Parent's digital Directory?

Yes!  You will have a choice of creating a basic listing or premium listing depending on what you would like families to know about your business.  A basic listing allows you to input basic information like your business phone/address whereas a premium listing allows for special features like offers/coupons, logo, photos, and more.
