Sedona Taphouse Review: A Monday Lunch Worth Repeating
There’s something special about a Monday lunch that feels a little indulgent — especially when it includes longtime friends and a menu that delivers. That’s exactly what we found at Sedona Taphouse.
The Starter: Truffle Fries
We kicked things off with the Truffle Fries, served upright in a parchment-wrapped basket — a presentation that felt elevated right away. Crispy and golden, the fries were tossed in truffle oil and seasoned with Parmesan and sea salt.
The real standout? The truffle lemon aioli. Bright, tangy and rich, it added layers of flavor that made each bite better than the last. These are absolutely reorder-worthy.
The Deal: Dine Out for Charity
Mondays at Sedona come with an added bonus: the Dine Out for Charity menu. Three select entrées are offered at half price (with the purchase of a beverage), and a portion of proceeds supports a featured local nonprofit.
This month benefits Fredericksburg Area Service League, an organization dedicated to promoting volunteerism and fundraising in our community.
It’s a feel-good reason to say yes to lunch.
The Entrée: Grilled Salmon
From the charity menu, I chose the Grilled Salmon (regularly around $25). Topping options included lemon butter, herb butter or pineapple mango salsa. While the tropical salsa was tempting, the herb butter won out — and it did not disappoint.
The butter melted gently over the hot salmon, creating a savory, silky finish that enhanced rather than overpowered the fish. The salmon itself was tender and flaky, cooked just right.
For the side, I opted for squash couscous. Couscous can easily turn mushy, but this version was well-balanced with a slight bite and subtle herb notes. The squash added a light sweetness and texture contrast that made the dish feel complete.
The Verdict
Great conversation. Thoughtful presentation. A satisfying meal that supports a local cause.
Sedona Taphouse delivered more than just lunch — it delivered an experience. If Mondays continue like this, it may just become a new tradition.
