Just off I-95 in Triangle, Virginia, sits one of the most powerful and immersive military museums in the country—the National Museum of the Marine Corps. The National Museum of the Marine Corps is the official museum of the United States Marine Corps, operated by the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation in cooperation with the U.S. Marine Corps. Opened in 2006, the museum's soaring design is meant to evoke the image of the iconic flag-raising at Iwo Jima, setting the tone before you even step inside.

Catch a military-themed documentary or historical film on the Medal of Honor Theater’s 369-seat big screen for a small fee.

2-3 hours is recomended inside the museum 

wear comfortable shoes The Museum has multiple stories, and multiple exhibits, there is a lot to see, so be prepared 

photos are welcome but please note that flash photography is prohibited

Accessibility:  the musuem is fully fully ADA accessible and stroller-friendly.

Dining is avaliable inside of the museum there are two restaurants. the Devil Dog Diner and the Tun Tavern.

Hot Take: I Love visiting this Museum, the exhibits are so fun and educational. I think it is so fun for children and adults of all ages, and I always recomend it as something to do. I have eaten at the Devil Dog Diner and the Tun Tavern both are very good in their own ways. It is totally worth the visit
