A Culinary Journey to Afghanistan: A Review of Faryab Kabob in Fredericksburg, VA

Nestled in the heart of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Faryab Kabob offers a captivating introduction to Afghan cuisine. Located at 20 Plantation Dr Unit 123, this establishment invites diners to explore a rich tapestry of flavors and dishes that honor traditional Afghan culinary arts. 

Ambiance and Service

The restaurant boasts a welcoming atmosphere, with patrons praising its cleanliness and attentive service. The men working behind the counter were very kind, and took the time to explain the menu and make recommendations which I thought was super nice as this was my first experience here. 

Culinary Delights

Faryab Kabob's menu is a testament to the diversity and depth of Afghan flavors. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared, ensuring authenticity and quality.​

• During this dining experience Laura and Leigh Anne both had the Combo #12 which consisted of chicken and lamb as the protein, with a huge serving of delicious rice, as well as a traditional afghan salad. Along with all that is on the plate the combo also came with a choice of side dish. We had the Spinach, and the Eggplant.
  
  

• Vegetarian Options: While the Vegetarian options were not tasted by Laura and Leighanne it is said that the Subzi Palau offers a delightful combination of seasoned spinach topped with yogurt, served alongside aromatic basmati rice. This dish exemplifies the harmonious blend of spices and textures characteristic of Afghan cuisine. ​
  
  

• Side Dishes: Complementing the main courses are side offerings like the Hummus Dip, Spinach, and Eggplant and so many more. Laura and Leighanne Sampled both the Spinach and the Egg plant and were pleasantly surprised by the flavor and the texture.
