If you crave the aroma of fresh coffee and look forward to the first sip of the rich brew, you’ll want to head to downtown Fredericksburg to visit Hyperion Espresso. The location has been the perfect meeting place since 1994 and was voted Coffee Shop winner in the “Fredericksburg Parent & Family magazine’s 2022 Family Favorites.

Serving a selection of coffees from each of the major coffee growing regions of the world, the freshly roasted brews come in a variety of blends. Try the Titan Blend that tempts with a sweet aroma and tastes of malt and honey. For a blend without caffeine, the Organic Decaf is made with 100 percent Swiss Water Process and no chemicals. It consists of a rich, full body and floral aroma that tastes of toasted grain. For a treat, the shop offers its namesake, Hyperion Blend—a dark roast with a smoky aroma and toasted oak flavor.

With a comprehensive coffee menu that will make even the seasoned coffee connoisseur surprised, there’s also a selection of Espresso Drinks. Whether guests try the single Ristretto shot—a more concentrated shot—in a Demitasse cup or dare to try the staff favorite, The Psycho, a Quad (four shots) Latte in an eight-ounce cup that sure to energize, they’re in for a true coffee experience. There’s plenty of other tasty concoctions, including Latte, Cappuccino, Breve, Mocha Dirty Chai, Hot Chocolate, tea and more. Don’t like your drinks hot? No problem, because there’s an extended menu of Iced Latte, Breve, Mocha, Red Eye and other refreshing drinks. For an international flair, order an Italian Soda, a blend of soda water and choice of Monin syrup.

The only thing better than the perfect beverage is a mouthwatering treat to go along with it. Fresh muffins, scones, Danish, croissants, cookies and bagels are just a sampling of what’s in store.
