From special events to valuable programs, the Y is your hub for fall family fun

Fall is all about getting back into routines. And there’s no better partner than the Ron Rosner Family YMCA to help your family build healthy routines that keep you connected with your community. We’re here to help you build a well-rounded fall schedule that has something for everyone in your family. Get started by checking out the offerings on our Fall Family Bucket List.
  1. Energize your fitness routine. With the kids back in school, now is the time to find a fitness routine that makes you excited to get moving. Here you’ll find something for everyone—from yoga and Zumba to spinning and strength classes. Or you can put together your own workout on the cardio and strength equipment in our state-of-the-art Wellness Center. Members enjoy access to our on-site childcare while they work out on premises.
  2. Keep up important skills. Did the kids make great progress in the pool this summer? There’s no need to lose that momentum. From swim lessons to our competitive RAYS swim team, your kids can keep building their skills in the water year-round in our 10-lane competition pool.
  3. Get a little creepy. Embrace the fun side of fall at our annual Creepy Crawly Carnival. Come on out on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. to the Rosner Family YMCA, where we will have a full fall carnival, including hayrides, a haunted trail, haunted house, concessions, a costume contest and a live DJ. This fun event is a fundraiser for the Rappahannock Area YMCA’s Open Doors Program, which supports discounted memberships and childcare for families in our area, so that we don’t have to turn anyone away. Every branch of the Rappahannock Area YMCA will hold its own Creepy Crawly Carnival. Visit family-ymca.org for full details.
  4. Try something completely new. Sign up for our MX4 Small Group Training functional fitness program. Pick up racquetball. Work with a personal trainer to get ready to run the 30th Annual YMCA Turkey Trot in November. Fall is the perfect time to find a new passion.
  5. Reconnect with your community. The beauty of the YMCA is that it is so much more than just a gym. From childcare to health and wellness and special needs programming, we are working every day to serve everyone in our community. As a YMCA member, every time you walk through our doors, you can feel good about supporting an organization that invests every day in building a healthier, happier Fredericksburg community!
