Dedicated to quality care and a nurturing environment, Drs. Greg and Andi Lindamood brought their dream, Tidewater Trail Animal Hospital, to Fredericksburg in 2004. The veterinarians and staff are committed to providing the care they’d expect for their own pets.

The animal hospital offers the following services:

  • Exotic Medicine and Surgery: veterinary care for exotic species, such as spiders, ferrets, hamsters and more.
  • Comprehensive Surgery Services: for cats, dogs and exotics, from spay and neutering to mass removal to soft tissue surgeries like gastropexies. A board-certified surgeon can be scheduled to perform more advanced surgeries.
  • Dental Care: performed for dogs and cats year-round, but twice a year there’s a discount on these services to keep pets healthy.
  • Advanced Radiology Services: advanced ultrasound imaging and digital X-ray; doctors are skilled sonographers. In addition, there’s an option of live-streamed interpretation by specialists.
  • Comprehensive Behavior Services: Dr. Andi is certified in Low-Stress Handling and holds a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed certification (CPDT-KA).
  • Echocardiography: in-house echocardiography (ultrasound/medical imaging of the heart) for dogs and cats, with interpretation by a board-certified cardiologist offered.
  • Preventative Care: wellness needs, such as vaccines and safe, effective preventative medications.
  • End of Life Care: Understanding difficult decisions about pets and the importance of discussing when to make them, Tidewater Trail created a comfort room to say goodbye in a less clinical setting. A cremation service handles pets with dignity.
Don’t forget to get the finishing touches with grooming, puppy classes and Doggie Daycare.

Dr. Andi Lindamood, DVM, CPDT-KA, has spent years studying animal behavior, offering behavior support and modification, assessment, counseling and training. Dr. Greg Lindamood, DVM, enjoys ophthalmology and internal medicine. Dr. Greg Chrisawn, DVM, will see most exotic species, cats and dogs. He is skilled in ultrasound.
