My family loves anything icy as a treat. To beat the heat, we’ve put together our favorite spots for a frozen iced treat.
What is your favorite place to grab a frozen treat? Share it with us!
1. Abner B’s
Recently renovated in the old Wally’s and newly opening downtown, Abner B.’s has some delicious, creamy ice cream. It’s an absolute treat.

2. Sweet Frog
Froyo is a favorite because it offers dairy free options as well as a variety of toppings! Plus, the decorations and the frog mascots, Scoop and Cookie, are fun for the kids.

3. Carl’s Frozen Custard
Carl's is a local favorite and Fredericksburg staple. Don't be scared away by the line - it moves quickly! (And you have to try the milkshakes!)

4. Moo Thru
Moo Thru prides itself on the product of the local farmer. There is now a mobile Moo Thru in Stafford, but their fixed location is in Remington. It's worth the drive!

5. Italian Station
A trip to Italy might break the bank, but you can get a taste of it with some gelato from Italian Station. Parents can also get a pick-me-up, otherwise known as espresso!

6. Fun Time Ice Cream
They have three mobile locations throughout the Fredericksburg area. While options are limited, the treats are good and reasonably priced. Look for the giant ice cream cone!

8. Menchi’s
Conveniently located in the Spotsylvania Towne Center, Menchi’s froyo is a fun treat after shopping. (Or when the lines in the food court are too long ... FredParent's webmaster enjoyed a froyo lunch from Menchi's the other day when the crowds were crazy!)
