Christian Youth Theater (CYT) is one of the few local businesses to sweep multiple categories in our 2016 Family Favorites survey! They were voted the favorite Day Camp, Dance Studio and Acting Theater class. With its fun atmosphere and family focused core, it’s easy to see why.

CYT is a non-profit, after-school theater arts training program for children ages 4-18. It offers summer camps, drama, voice and dance classes, a broad spectrum of specialty theatrical workshops (weekly two-hour classes) and Broadway-style musicals for the community. These musicals are always highly anticipated by our readers as they make for a fun and unique family activity!

Classes are small (12-15 children) and are student focused. CYT does ask for a bit of parent involvement during their yearly musicals. According to its website, “One parent of each student cast in the production must serve on both a pre-show and a show-week production committee. Without the support of our parents, CYT could not produce high-quality shows for the community. Parents are the backbone of CYT!”
