Family Favorites: Latitudes Fair Trade

Latitudes Fair Trade Store's story began in 2009 when Terry Owsely, co-owner of Latitudes, was inspired by a local weaving cooperative during a trip to Guatemala. The cooperative trained hundreds of women to produce, market and sell their work domestically and abroad. Lee and Terry Owsely knew there was a market for the beautiful handmade products back home. Through Latitudes, they've found a way to serve artisans from the developing world while sharing these amazing products with shoppers back home.
Their flagship store opened in 2010 on Main Street in Warrenton , Virginia. In 2014, they opened their second shop on Caroline Street in Fredericksburg. The Fredericksburg location also serves as a pick-up site for sustainable, non-GMO, pasture-raised meat and egg deliveries from Whiffletree Farm (fourth Tuesday of every other month). First time buyers get a dozen eggs free.
