This specialty group is recommended for children 6 months until around 3 years of age. A parent or caregiver participates interactively with their babies or toddlers in songs that facilitate co-regulation, where a baby looks to the caregiver to regulate their emotions before they learn how to self-regulate. Musical play experiences include singing songs with baby, movements such as bouncing and rocking, and exploring musical instruments. Musical changes, animated facial and vocal expression, and physical touch with movement all contribute to a baby’s ability to regulate their body and initiate and respond to interaction. In addition to facilitating parent-child bonding, this class offers ideas for parents to promote development at home. We have drop-in visits & monthly subscriptions available. *Older siblings are welcome to join the group as role models and helpers.
