Welcome to the 2023 Fredericksburg Parent and Family’s Family Favorites contest. Fred Parent originally started this contest in 2005, back when people filled out paper ballots and mailed them in!  The contest is immensely popular with parents because they trust each other’s local recommendations. Fred Parent keeps the family favorite winners up on the website for a year and picks 12 winners randomly each year for a print column in the magazine. 2022 Family Favorites Column to see an example of the previous year's Family Favorite columns.

2023 marks our digital contests' 9th consecutive year! It's time to vote for all of your favorite businesses. This is a people’s-choice contest where your vote makes a big impact.  You can vote once per device, April 1st-30th. Each day voters will be entered to win one of 30 prizes, including gift cards and movie tickets.  Come back the day after you vote to see if you were randomly selected to win.

How to Enter and Vote in the FPF 2023 Family Favorites Contest

If you are a business that wants to leverage this free contest to promote your service to the parenting community:

1. Visit https://favorites.fredericksburgparent.net/ballots/151. 

2. Make sure your business is in our Directory and nominated. Check out your Directory Listing and share that URL with your friends and family so they can vote directly for your business. We also have free marketing materials listed below that you can download and use.

Previous winners are already listed in the directory and are active in the contest. Check to see if you are already listed. If not, add your business listing today and then email [email protected] to get your business nominated.

3. Vote! You may vote once per Award.

4. Download the 8x10 poster and place it by your cash register.

5. Download the 4x6 card and share it to your social media accounts.

6. Download the 5x7 card and send it to your email list of customers.

7. Download the 11x17 poster and place it on your wall or in your window.
