Feb 7,2023—Smart Beginnings Rappahannock Area announced it has a rename. Effective immediately, the organization will now be called Foundation First.

"With this change comes a new vision and mission that better reflects our expanding energies and efforts. Vision: All children from birth to five have a solid foundation that leads to success. Mission: Unify our community to promote equitable access to resources for all children birth to five," said Gina Davis, executive director in a press release.

Foundation First said its next step will include a new website, which will be revealed in a few weeks.

"Until then, you can continue to access our information and services at www.smartbeginningsra.org. We will keep you updated when the new site launches. We hope you are as excited as we are about our new name and logo and will join us in celebrating this new phase of Foundation First. Here’s to an exciting new beginning with Foundation First as we unify our community to promote equitable access to resources for all children birth to five," said Davis.
