Ditch the Kids

Mar 02, 2022 06:30AM ● By Chris Jones

One of my favorite parts of spring is the ability to get outdoors to enjoy the sunshine. I love running, but find it unbearable to do consistently throughout the winter. Once we get to late February, early March, I dust off the Sauconys, pat down the shorts, and start easing my way back into 6K shape for summer.

Another thing I love about warm weather is the ability to enjoy patio dining and participate in outdoor activities with my wife. Much of our time spent together prior to marriage was outdoors—hanging out at the City Dock, walking through downtown, eating at Sammy T’s, and shooting basketball at Loriella Park (she watched me, of course).

In this issue, we dive into fun ways to rekindle those dating days again. They seem to be fewer and farther between as children come along, but they’re necessary. We offer some dazzling dating ideas for every type of couple as well as give you ideas for recreational fun—shooting range, anyone?

Now that spring is here and is looking like it may be a lot more festive than years past, set the sitter on speed dial, drop the kids off at parent’s night out, and do something fun with your significant other.

Spring is in the air. Catch the fever!
