Hello and welcome to Thriving Thoughts

Hi, and welcome to Thriving Thoughts. I am a mom of four, and the majority of people in my life didn’t know I struggled with alcohol. For the most part, I showed up fully in my life. I did not hit a proverbial rock bottom or have to go to AA or rehab. I was just your average mom who had a great life, but alcohol was keeping me from enjoying it fully.

My journey started with choosing sobriety in 2019. Sobriety unlocked an entire self-growth journey that I am not just currently experiencing, but I now get to share with other moms. I learned very early on that drinking was not my biggest problem; it was my thinking. When I learned how to change my thoughts, I truly began to thrive in my life and thrive immediately. I realized how much control I had over making lasting change. My confidence soared, my relationships improved, and I was finally giving myself permission to enjoy life AS ME!

I had a hard time believing thoughts created my experience, and maybe you do too. I am hoping this illustration will give you a better understanding.

One day, I was on a walk with my daughter, and per usual, she stopped to 'pick the flowers'. Only this time, it was not a flower; it was a weed. She saw and believed this flower was the most beautiful daisy she had ever seen. I just saw a plant that brought no value.

Her belief brought her so much joy. Although, it changed nothing about the actual 'flower' that she was holding, it did something even more.

Her belief CHANGED HER!

And this, my friends, is what I want to teach in this space. Our beliefs will always create our experience, and our experience will always confirm our beliefs. If you do not believe that your current reality is created by your beliefs, then stick around! I promise to show you real life examples of how we can change our thoughts, and even if we can't change other external circumstance. Our experience of those circumstances will change for the better!
