Gold Mining Camp Museum at Monroe Park

The Gold Mining Camp Museum at Monroe Park is the only museum in Virginia solely dedicated to the history of gold and gold mining. Monroe Park, which is located off Route 17 in Goldvein, Virginia, is a wonderful place to learn about local history, relax, and get together with family and friends with its many recreational facilities. The park is opem 365 days a year from dawn until dusk.  The Gold Mining Camp Museum is open Wednesdays-Saturdays 9:30 am-5:00 pm and Sundays noon-4:00 pm.
