Harvesting memories for more than 40 years, Belvedere Plantation takes the top prize in Fredericksburg Parent & Family's 2023 Family Favorites Seasonal Activity.

More than 260 years old, the farm sprawls over 600-plus acres, offering the Fall Harvest Festival highlighted by the Great Pumpkin Patch and the Great Adventure Maize Maze. Purchased by the Fulks family in 1968, the farm continues to be a working production farm with grain crops and pumpkins.

There’s plenty to keep every family member busy for a day at the farm. Admission includes the Jumping Pillow, Pedal Carts, Pumpkin Mountain, the Fun Barn, Wagon Rides, the Little Farmer’s Bounce and more. Not included in admission are extra-value attractions, such as the Screamin’ Scarecrow’s Super Slide, Punkin’ Plunkin’, Paint the Pests and Barnyard Blasters—just to name a few. All the fun and excitement are certain to build up an appetite, and there’s something for all taste buds, from the Bakery and Cogburn’s Feed Bin to the Red Rooster Grill and Belvedere’s Pizza Factory. 

Visitors will find the perfect place to unwind and gather for roasting marshmallows and hot dogs at Let’s Gather ‘Round a Campfire. 

When hosting a birthday party, Belvedere Plantation provides an ideal background and numerous activities. Rent a campfire slot or a party tent, while the children enjoy running in the fresh air and participating in great activities. 

Class trips to Belvedere will earn an A-plus with students. They’ll get to see a working farm and have lots of fun. At only $12 per person, the Thursday and Friday school trips are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
